Meet Allondra Gonzalez: My Journey as a Registered Dietitian

From Backyard Roots to Clinical Nutrition

Growing up, my dad had a deep love for fresh ingredients. We spent weekends planting vegetables and fruits in our backyard garden, and I still remember the pride he took in cooking meals straight from the soil we nurtured. He was also big into fermenting—kimchi, sauerkraut, even homemade pickles lined our kitchen shelves. That’s when I first realized that gut health wasn’t just a trend—it was everything.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from California State University, Long Beach, I took a leap and moved across the country to New York. There, I completed my 1,200 hours of supervised dietetic practice at Stony Brook Hospital in Long Island. It was a challenging and transformative experience that solidified my foundation in clinical nutrition.

Today, I live in Manhattan and work in pharmaceutical sales—an exciting role that lets me stay close to healthcare and connect with medical professionals daily. I’m also currently finishing my MBA at Baruch College, which has helped me grow both professionally and personally as I build toward my long-term goals. But nutrition has never stopped being my passion. It’s more than a career path—it’s a part of who I am, and I’m grateful to still share that knowledge and love through my platform.
